This month’s featured art show at the Nov. 21 Art Walk Edmonds (5-8 p.m. downtown) is sure to get you in the festive spirit. The Olympic Ballet Theatre will host two 10- to 15-minute-long mini-performances in their dance studio, located in Room 122 at the Frances Anderson Center (700 Main St.)  at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Be sure to show up early enough to nab a seat; as a courtesy to the dancers, seating mid-performance is discouraged. They will also have some of the gorgeous new costumes from their upcoming Nutcracker performances on display.

To further encourage your mood, visit the Cheesemonger’s Table (203 5th Ave. S.) to take part in a yummy, fall-themed read-along, sing songs and decorate your own artwork to take home. Then go across the street to Windermere Real Estate (210 5th Ave. S.) to see Don King’s dramatic watercolors and Kathryn Rantala’s fun assembleges of found objects.

Love photography? Along with the ongoing exhibit by Leah Goodwin at Aria Studio Gallery (535 Main St.), you can also see lovely, semi-abstract photos by Judith Rayl at Edmonds Realty, 111 Main St. Mary Bess Johnson’s amazing underwater photography along with Penny Berglund’s pottery is the featured “Land & Sea” show at Gallery North, 401 Main St..

Pop in at Driftwood Modern (403-1/2 Main St.) featuring works by contemporary Northwest artist Kandis Susol.

Seattle Sugar Spa (128 4th Ave. S.) will feature artist Nicola Davies. Planet Dot Jewelry hand-made by local artist Michelle Mediati will be showing along with painter Theresa Williams of Black Wing Art at Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 5th Ave. S.

As a bonus to the Art Walk, Thursday night is also “First Dibs,” where you can score some additional deals at this unofficial kick-off to Christmas from the participating downtown merchants.
