Saturday: Edmonds Tree Lighting — What you need to know

My Edmonds News file photo

Visit downtown Edmonds Saturday, Nov. 30 for the free annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. There will be caroling and a visit from Santa, followed by the lighting of the community tree. The location is Centennial Plaza — corner of 5th Avenue North and Bell Street.

Opening music is performed by Maplewood Jazz Band, as in years past; Holiday sing-along carols will be sung and led by North Sound Church’s Choir; and the Children’s Choir of North Sound Church performs. Deborah Brandi, executive director of the Foundation for the Edmonds School District, will emcee this year. From 5:15-7pm, Santa will be at the Masonic Lodge for pictures.
