To promote neighborhood safety, South County Fire invited the community to attend an open house Thursday night at Esperance Fire Station 20.
Community members met firefighters, learned about neighborhood emergency services and programs, and how families can protect themselves from fire and injuries. Tables were set up with education about life-saving ACT First Aid tips, car seat and helmet safety, and disaster preparedness. Free kids bicycle helmets were also given out.
Scouts BSA Troop 30 also attended the event as a badge requirement.
Esperance Fire Station 20 is located at 23009 88th Ave. W., Edmonds.
