Prep volleyball: Warriors end season with loss to Oak Harbor

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors saw their 2019 season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to the Oak Harbor Wildcats in a District 1 3A Volleyball Tournament loser-out match played Saturday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

E-W, seeded No. 4 in the district tournament, couldn’t keep up with the tourney’s No .3 seed Wildcats in the 11 a.m. match.

With the defeat, the Warriors finish the year with a record of 13-5; the squad’s only losses were to Oak Harbor (twice) and the three teams to qualify for the 3A state tournament from District 1: Ferndale, Snohomish and Arlington.

The 13 wins was the most for a Warrior squad since the 2014 team that qualified for the state tourney and finished the year 14-6.
