A group of 90 Sherwood Elementary second graders Wednesday participated in a City of Edmonds-sponsored pedestrian safety field trip. Students had an in-class program last week, and this week broke into nine groups of 10 for a walking trip that included learning best practices for pedestrian safety.
Students stopped at different points along a one-mile loop while city staff illustrated important pedestrian safety tips under real-time conditions.
