Reminder: Work party, bird workshop at Edmonds Demo Garden Nov. 9

Edmonds Wildlife Habitat Native Plan Demonstration Garden will be hosting two events this Saturday, Nov. 9: a late fall/early winter work party and a Little Brown Birds of Winter workshop.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the work party from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., where activities will include planting, weeding, trimming and mulching. Training at 10 a.m., plus tools, equipment and water, coffee and snacks will be provided. Registration at EarthCorps — 206-322-9296 Ext. 217 — or come to the Demo Garden at 10 a,m, and register onsite. The Little Brown Birds of Winter workshop will run from 10 a.m. to noon with Cindy Easterson of Pilchuck Audubon and Puget Sound Bird Observatory. Learn about all the little brown birds that will winter in local backyards, wooded area and parks,  Everyone is welcome to attend this free workshop although donations are welcome to cover costs. Bring binoculars if you have them.

The Demo Garden is located  at 95 Pine St. on the northwest corner of Pine Street and Edmonds Way (SR 104) and will be held in at the Willow Creek Hatchery Building. Free parking is on Pine Street and for those with limited mobility there is a small parking area down the hatchery Driveway.
