Edmonds Floretum Garden Club readies festive holiday wreaths for weekend sale

‘Tis the season to deck our halls for the holidays, and Edmonds Floretum Garden Club is once again assembling wreaths, swags, table-toppers and more to bring that special holiday touch right into our homes.

Club members have been busy since mid-week feverishly assembling a range of decorations to suit every taste and budget, many utilizing plant materials you won’t find in commercially-produced products. How about a dried hydrangea head to dress up a large wreath? For a small table-topper, a sprig or two of Cotoneaster with red berries instead of traditional holly adds color and interest with a unique twist. And each table topper is arranged in a festive container, many of which are one-of-a-kind collectibles donated by Floretum members.

Each decoration is one-of-a-kind, hand-made by Floretum volunteers, and each is different, ensuring a unique and festive touch for your home that’s sure to draw compliments from your holiday guests.

All Floretum decor goes on sale starting at noon Friday at the Holiday Flair Boutique located in the Art Works studio at Second and Dayton. The boutique runs through Saturday, but with prices for most Floretum wreaths and decor starting at $10 they’re sure to go fast, so get there early for the best selection.  Hours are Friday noon-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organized in 1922, the Floretum Club remains a premier force in beautifying Edmonds through public plantings, sponsoring education workshops, and providing an annual scholarship for horticulture students. Learn more about the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club at their website.
