No one was injured in a fire that caused an estimated $100,000 damage to a home in Edmonds’ Seaview neighborhood early Monday evening.
South County Fire spokesperson Leslie Hynes said the fire was reported at 5:37 p.m. in a rambler located in the 19300 block of 80th Place West. When firefighters arrived, they found flames on the front and side exterior of the home, and were able to put out the blaze in 10-15 minutes, Hynes said. Fire damage was limited to the home’s exterior and a small portion of the attic and roof.
A man living in the home was able to escape uninjured. He is staying with relatives, Hynes said.
A cause has not yet been determined.
