Each year, employees with the Edmonds-based Foundation for International Services (FIS) decorate their workspaces in a spirited competition for the coveted trophy of Dazzling Christmas Décor. A recent tour of the FIS offices revealed holiday displays ranging from shiny tinsel trees to embroidered tea towels with the international twist of “Merry Christmas” in different languages.
“It’s the most wonderful time of year,” said Rebecca Fuller, coordinator of the project and corresponding FIS food drive for the Foundation for Edmonds School District’s Nourishing Network. “It’s a joy to see my colleagues use their creative skills to welcome in the holiday season!”
The polls closed Tuesday, and the winners were announced at the annual Christmas party, which was held at Calypso restaurant. First-place winner was Isabel Reeb for her rustic cabin, second place went to Stephanie Flores with her cartoon sledding party, and rounding out the top three was Marie Cablafin’s ode to Christmas.
