Edmonds Driftwood Players wins 11 BroadwayWorld 2019 Seattle awards

Edmonds Driftwood Players has collected 11 BroadwayWorld 2019 Seattle Awards, including Theatre of the Year.

The fall production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder collected nine of the theatre’s wins, with two awards going to the 2018/2019 Season production of Peter & the Starcatcher. 

Regional productions, touring shows, and more were included in the nominations, honoring productions which opened between Oct. 1, 2018 through Sept. 30, 2019. Here’s a full list of Driftwood honorees from the BroadwayWorld 2019 Seattle Awards, which are for mid-range to smaller-budget theaters; 

Molly Hall 
Best Choreographer – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

Beth Fleming 
Best Costume Design – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

Adam Othman 
Best Director of a Musical – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 
Best Director of a Play – Peter & the Starcatcher 

Rick Wright 
Best Scenic Design – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

Sarah Fairchild 
Best Lighting Design – Peter & the Starcatcher 

Karin Terry 
Best Featured Performer in a Musical – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

David Roby 
Best Leading Performer in a Play – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

Best Ensemble – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

Best Musical – A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder 

In addition to these awards, Edmonds Driftwood Players was awarded the esteemed BroadwayWorld 2019 Regional Award for Theatre of the Year in the mid-range to smaller-budget theatre category.

Upcoming Edmonds Driftwood Players productions include the following: 

[miss], a new play by W.L. Newkirk runs Jan. 16-19. The playwright will be at the theatre for a post-show discussion after the Saturday matinee.
