The Edmonds Police Department on Thursday released new photos of the suspect in the murder of Nagendiram Kandasamy, who was shot at a 7-11 store on Edmonds’ Highway 99 Friday, Feb. 21.

According to a statement Thursday, Edmonds police detectives have learned additional information about the case, but continue to seek the public’s help in solving the ongoing investigation. The newly-released photos highlight some identifiers of the suspect’s jacket, gloves and shoes worn at the time of the incident.

Newly-released images show details on the suspect clothing.

Detectives have learned that the suspect fled to an awaiting white, four-door vehicle driven by another unknown person. It is unknown if there were others in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The driver — and any other passengers — are encouraged to come forward and speak with detectives. The suspect vehicle also fled east on 238th Street Southwest into a residential neighborhood and is known to have made its way to 76th Avenue West before turning east at the Snohomish/King County Line.

Crime Stoppers and the 7-11 Corporations have also partnered to offer an $11,000 reward for an arrest and charges against a suspect(s).

Detectives are asking residents to check their home surveillance systems on Feb. 21, between 4:45 a.m. and 5:05 a.m., and contact the department if they have any footage that may help the investigation.

Kandasamy was said to have been a loving and dedicated husband and father whose family is desperate for closure. The motive for the murder is still under investigation. According to the Edmonds Police Department, the investigation remains the department’s top priority.

Edmonds police said the suspect fled to an awaiting white, four-door vehicle that was being driven by another person.

  1. For sure these are the shoes:
    https://www.amazon.com/Nike-Jordan-Aura-Kids-Aq9214-101/dp/B07VYZZ8VD
These are sold at amazon, foot locker, and a couple other places. The black and white version of these shoes is hard to find and they are $120, relatively new model. Those are his shoes, whereas the gas-station gloves he’s wearing and maybe the jacket are burners. I would imagine that those gloves are sold at a local gas station, worth looking around. They are not shooting gloves because those are usually tactical black. I think they are gas-station mechanics gloves sold somewhere around here.

The gun looks like a 9mm, and it looks like it has an extended magazine. It’s not a high capacity magazine, so much as a compatible magazine from a larger gun. I think this guy has more than one glock, and is using the bigger magazine from one in the smaller gun. From this one angle it could be glock, but the magazine sticking out the bottom not flush is very characteristic to me.

The car looks Japanese, again from that one picture; could be wrong. Early 2000’s Honda’s are low like that and almost always have a black’d out B-pillar. It would help to know if that horizontal line across the doors is truly white or black, because around 2005 cars started painting that door strip whereas earlier they were often black/rubber.

It’s hard to tell from the picture, I would like to see the video.

  2. Looks to me like a fairly small individual, and (s)he appears to wear either a mask or carnival makeup to obscure the facial features.
