The Edmonds Senior Center is offering a clogging class for beginners.
With roots in the Appalachian Mountains, clogging has a rhythmic, percussive, hoedown style and is danced to most genres of music.
Instructor Maureen Pettit teaches the class on Thursdays in the fellowship hall at United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. For your first class, wear comfortable shoes; clogging shoes will be discussed at that first class. A drop-in rate is charged each week, payable to the teacher.
Pettit is a fully accredited teacher of ballet with the Royal Academy of Dancing, London, and a fully accredited ballroom dance teacher. She currently teaches clogging in Edmonds, Shoreline and Lynnwood.
Contact Pettit at 206-406-4605 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
