The Friends of the Edmonds Library will meet this Thursday, Feb. 27 starting at 1 p.m. in the Plaza Room above the library, 650 Main St.
Guest speaker will be Vanessa Stedman, who will speak on behalf of the Lift Every Voice Legacy Project (LEVL), a grassroots effort to promote Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a beloved community.
As part of LEVL’s recently-launched One Book – One Community effort, Stedman will give an abbreviated reading of the book Pass It On! by Edmonds author Dr. Gloria Burgess and conduct a brief discussion of the major themes of the book.
The meeting begins at 1 p.m. with social time with refreshments, followed by the program at 1:30 p.m.
