Publisher’s note: Edmonds City Council story coming Wednesday morning

Dear readers:

A main topic of Tuesday’s Edmonds City Council meeting was the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on city finances. Because there were several financial charts shown during the virtual Tuesday meeting, and those weren’t posted online as part of the agenda packet, we have requested originals so that we can include them for clarity in our story. Expect to see that information published on the website Wednesday morning.

  1. Thank you to MyEdmondsNews for requesting the attachments. The information was illegible on the screen last night, at least on mine.

In alignment with this, citizens are interested to hear from Mr. Passey on Edmond’s ordinances, codes, etc on changes to the city council agendas most specifically after the agendas have less than 24 hours before the meeting. (This request is from another party on another thread yesterday regarding this and other meetings.)

In searching for Edmonds agenda rules, I was only able to access limited, possibly dated, online information that didn’t go further into the formal procedure for agenda changing. I do recall a meeting discussing the authority of the Council placing an item on the agenda vs. the Council President for specific reasoning, and it may have been Mr. Passey, Taraday, JD, or a parliamentarian who clarified roles and authority for agenda setting and changes. It would be appreciated if that were included.!/Edmonds01/Edmonds0103.html#1.03

Thank you for getting us more thorough information.
