Scene in Edmonds: Here and there

And for those who want to know about sun dogs, Live Science describes them as “Patches of light that sometimes appear beside the sun. The scientific name is parhelion (plural: parhelia) from the Greek par─ôlion, meaning ‘beside the sun.’ Speculation is that they are called that because they follow the sun like a dog follows its master.”

  1. I really like the picture of the tree in front of the sun. Most of the year my view of the sunset is behind trees, but on Thursday evening our earth had moved enough so that I was able to see the sunset into the hills. That usually lasts about a month.
