I certainly have my hummingbird feeder. My yard is extremely well kept. There are two properties across the street that are never cared for. Best not to feed birds. I have caught 18 rats in the last two months. A crow did get a hold of one of the traps; you could not tell there was even a rat there after the crow was finished.
The crows, jays, and squirrels finish off the nuts on my deck long before any rats have a chance to do so. Small birds such as juncos and towhees forage beneath my seed feeders and find seeds that have fallen on the ground.
