  1. Our legislators vote down their authority in determining the laws of its citizens? Our representatives, who are responsible for ensuring our voices are heard, don’t want input?Would someone at least attempt to explain why this is the best course of action, emergency or not?

  2. We are probably moving back to stage 2 now…News this morning from I guess, Dr. Spitters. Our numbers have sadly gone to 206 here in Sno County. So Governor is going to have to do it…This is going to mess everything up again. This time many restaurants and maybe retail will be finished. It is very sad.
This is Governors job…Nothing the Mayor or council can do. So….now what…

    1. I appreciate your last sentence; a question! Do not throw your hands up in despair or be apathetic — asking questions is a great place to start.

And it is not the Governor’s job to doom small business, restaurants or retail. We are supposed to be under a democracy, not tyranny. That our representatives opted to shirk their responsibility and allow the Governor’s proclamations to stand unchecked should be something to remember next time you vote.

As for our local government, the Mayor and Council could resume meeting in person.

  3. Then again, the hospitals and morgues are not at stress levels. This is the first time in American history that we have quarantined the healthy. This virus is going to be around for decades. It’s time our government told the truth. Maybe Inslee needs to be treated like Newsom?
