Detectives from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday morning at a Chevron gas station at 148th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in unincorporated Lynnwood.
Deputies responded to the gas station around 5:40 a.m. after receiving the report of a shooting there, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.
During the investigation, detectives learned the suspect entered the store and shot an employee who was working inside, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives believe the suspect was attempting to rob the store when the employee was shot. The man then fled the scene.
Anyone who can identify him is asked to call 911.
The worker was named Paul, he was a father of 3 and a husband. I worked with him for a while and he’s the most genuine person I’d ever met. He didn’t deserve this.
It was Paul? But he doesn’t work weekends I worked with him there as well I can not believe this.
Wait who? I’m not good with names but have been a regular at that exact Chevron station for the past 4 years I know everyone there by face and no one there deserves this. My condolences to Paul 🙁
Noooooo! I can’t believe this! I’m in there everyday around that time so I’m familiar with all their late night and early morning employees and they are all so sweet, kind, personable and friendly men. I even know their shift change times because sometimes there would be 2 of them switchin off keys and tills and I could talk to 2 of them at the same time, again always funny and nice. They each would grab my brand of smokes and have them already waiting for me when they saw me pull up because they were so attentive and interactive with their customers. This is just sad! I pray for his family and the Chevron family. Losing a loved one suddenly and then losing them violently is the worst thing someone can go through. No reason for this devastation. I know they have tons of cameras because the big tv of all the angles is right there when u walk in so I know they will find this POS who did this. Omg, I don’t think I can ever go back in there and I’ve been going there everyday for 5 years. I want his family to know he is thought of and remembered as a kind, gentle, friendly soul and there are people out here who care and appreciate the light he brought to everyday customers. He wasn’t just a gas station employee, he was a responsible, caring and giving father, husband, son, friend and gentleman. I’m so sorry for their loss. My heart hurts for them.
Is this the only picture they have for us to try and find him? Or her? an estimated height?? Odd pic. Is his whole head and face wrapped. Too big for a mask… He or she sure is well covered…The flip flops are odd. Did the person leave the store in a car or on foot. Which direction did they head?? GIve us something…
Exactly! I’m in there everyday and the camera angles they have are plentiful and generous. They even have cameras at the car wash station that’s about 15 ft from the main building. One time I walked in and they were zooming in on that space between the building and car wash because there were some questionable characters hanging out there. Plus, alllll the cameras at that main intersection, Safeway’s cameras, Bartells pharmacy drive thru has cameras, 7-11, Starbucks, the bank across the street from them def has cameras….they definitely have better and more images and info, it’s probably just taking time to get all those different videos and images from all the surrounding businesses. Then behind them, there are retirement community buildings I’m sure have cameras since it’s a medical housing facility and lots of newly developed condos and houses who most likely have the newest Ring cameras and security measures. I have faith they will catch him, the people he may have fled with….
I have known Paul for many years he has been nothing but the most genuine and caring person anyone could ever know he will be very missed he did not deserve this prayers go out to his family sorry for your loss we loved Paul he was like family.
I recently started going here every morning. Was the man shot the middle aged Indian man? I hope not becuase he is my favorite. Either way, rest in peace…
Unfortunately so his name was Paul, he was everyone’s favorite at that location
