Sponsor spotlight: New to area, Chinese restaurant Boiling Fish offers extremely fresh food at reasonable prices

The philosophy behind the locally owned restaurant is simple: Delicious fresh food at affordable prices. In fact, some of their menu items are so fresh, diners can select from an assorted “Alive Seafood” menu with options ranging from Whole Braised Fish to FeiTeng Alive Fish.

Boiling Fish, an exciting new Chinese restaurant along Edmonds’ Highway 99, opened in November 2019. It managed to survive the challenges of the coronavirus crisis by serving excellent food while partnering with three delivery services.

Choosing from their very large menu is an adventure, with seafood, duck, pork, beef, chicken and vegetable selections.

Offering authentic Sichuan cuisine, as well as American-Chinese dishes, Boiling Fish has something for almost any taste. But be forewarned: Sichuan can imply heat – if you want it with menu items such as Deep-fried Chicken with Spicy Chili Sauce and Mongolian Beef. At Boiling Fish, diners are invited to order food spiced to their preference.

Chinese plates with more of an American take are flavorful but less spicy, including tea-smoked duck and General Tao’s chicken.

These days, travel is a challenge. Why not explore authentic Chinese cuisine without having to leave town?  The adventurous might try the Frog’s Legs and Chili Peppers or Twice-Cooked Pork Belly.

If you prefer to stick to more familiar fare and still have an amazing meal, opt for the Fresh Fish Fillet with Sweet Ginger Sauce or that time-honored American favorite, Broccoli Beef. A favorite vegan pick is Cauliflower with Chili Peppers!

For the undecided, pick from the menu section that offers “chef’s favorite dishes.”
