Verdant Health Commission launches community survey

The Verdant Health Commission is seeking responses to a brief community survey to better understand the overall health and health care needs of South Snohomish County residents.

The survey, posted on www.verdanthealth.org, will be available in multiple languages from May 2 through May 31 to ensure that a diversity of perspectives and lived experiences are reflected in the responses that are received. Click HERE to go directly to the survey.

Community members are also invited to attend a virtual meeting on May 23 from noon-1:30 p.m. via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86062999748 . Meeting participants can ask questions about the survey and/or provide input to inform Verdant’ s future planning to support equal access to health care for all residents.

The results of the anonymous survey and meeting will be shared with the community in fall 2022.

If you have any questions or know someone who would like to complete the survey in a language that is not currently available on the website, contact Verdant at info@verdanthealth.org, or call425-582-8600.

  1. Yes Darrol, it will. They keep posting on Facebook about their open house for the whole community they serve and hashtag all of the cities in their district except Wood way and MLT. They don’t seem to know their community at all. And what about people who don’t have computers or see an article with the link? How do they respond?

  2. I just completed this survey. Eight questions. Very, very open ended. And after submitting it, I could complete another one without any verification.

Seems like that feature alone could lead to inaccurate results which would then be used to build up programs that aren’t a true representation of what could actually help the majority of the community, but instead a vocal minority. Also, what constitues good health to one person may not be the same for another.

Also, if survey participants knew what programs Verdant already provides regarding encouraging good health, that would seem more helpful than a simple, extremely open ended survey.

  3. Since my last comment, they now hashtag Shoreline in there posts on FB. Shoreline isn’t in the hospital district, it’s not even in the same county. It would be great if they had people who worked there who knew the community.
