Scene in Edmonds: Bus stop snack

Kathy Crabb left carrots for a rabbit at this Edmonds bus stop.
  1. I have Rabbits in every size in my flower garden. For me they will not eat the carrots I bought for them or the nice fresh head of Living Butter Lettuce either. I think Bugs has lied to us. Apparently my rabbits which I have had so many its unbelievable. Mine seem to prefer my flowers to vegetables. They are cute and come in many sizes. So tame I can walk right up beside them and they just look at me. So I decided to fence what I could and let them have at it mainly. They are picky my rabbits some flowers they don’t touch. The herb garden no interest in that at all. They must be very easily domesticated as they are sure not skittish here.
It is kind of fun. I remember when seeing a rabbit in our yard was unusual. These last two years that changed. Pretty sure I know why. I mean 28 years with maybe 5 rabbits and then in two years who knows how many but lots. Often they I think may live in some of the junipers or come in under my fences? I don’t know. But now I worry about them in the winter… I suppose they know how to take care of themselves.
