The Edmonds Floretum Garden Club planted over 6,000 daffodils last year to celebrate their 100 year anniversary. Many of these bulbs are now re-appearing this year throughout downtown common areas. You may notice some of the club’s yellow 5X7 commemorative signs.
I have seen the bulbs pushing through at Main and Olympic. Daffodils are very tough in spite of their delicate appearance. In fact they thrive on summer neglect and squirrels and other pests won’t touch them because of their nasty taste.
