Why does that not look like a dogwood? Nice shot!
I think it is Witch Hazel
Possibly a cornus mas. A small tree with a late winter/early spring bloom.
I think you win Kathryn ha. It looks exactly like the cornus mas. I just looked it up and projected large. Its identical to cornus mas. I thought maybe forsythia but I was wrong.
If you walk along the waterfront you will see a line of cornus mas not too far from the
Waterfront Center.
They don’t look like the later blooming dogwoods, but they give us early blooms which people appreciate in winter.
