The nominations are in and it’s time to vote for your favorites –- from best art gallery to best noodle bowl to best free attraction – in the 2024 Best of Edmonds contest presented by My Edmonds News and sponsored by KDMC Marketing and the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.
During the past few weeks, we received hundreds of nominations in dozens of categories, and now it’s up to you to pick the winners. Here’s how it works:
- Voting starts NOW at this link, and ends at midnight Friday, April 12, 2024.
- You can vote one time per day. You can come back to the link anytime to see how your favorites are stacking up against the competition.
- We will name winners and finalists in each category, based on the number of votes received.
All winners will be recognized in both online and print publications, and will also receive a window sticker to display proudly in their establishments. To learn more about Best of Edmonds print and online advertising opportunities, email Kathy Hashbarger.
Please note these clarifiers:
- For the most part, we limited nominations to those entrants based in Edmonds or that had a strong Edmonds connection in terms of providing services to residents. This was a judgment call on our part but we had to draw the line somewhere, as there were many nominations from other cities.
- These nominations came from our community and we weren’t familiar with all of them. We did our best to check accuracy of names. That said, there still may be errors and for that we apologize in advance.
- Votes made with an undeliverable email address will be not be counted.
Thanks for participating, happy voting and good luck to all nominees!

Best comedy show goes to our government hands down. Following our local government is the best entertainment I can’t decide whether I want to laff or cry on any given day. Just saying.
I’m a bit confused how nominations work. Businesses who have won in the past (multiple years in a row) are not listed in their category. Was there a nomination period?
Yes, the nomination period was open for about 2 1/2 weeks in March.
Thank you for the response. It’s very unfortunate that previous winners are missing from their perspective categories and nothing about nominations was posted on IG. I would love to help in future years to ensure everyone is included and even assist in naming categories appropriately. For example: the term “childcare” is preferred over “daycare”. May seem silly to some but when it’s your life’s work it’s significant.
Thanks for the feedback, especially on the naming of the categories.
I see noodle dishes twice- once under food & drink and again under restaurants… wasn’t sure if that was intentional or not? I think, for camps, anything called “Frances Anderson” is technically aka “City of Edmonds” so those votes might potentially (more fairly) need to be combined. Any camp “at” Frances Anderson that is not a city program would have its own name, like PedalHeads or SkyHawks.
Thanks for noticing that, Chris. We will ensure that the noodle dishes category is not duplicated.
Also — if anyone has other comments/suggestions for the future (or corrections for current), please email them to myedmondsnews@gmail.com.
Teresa and Team – Dusty’s Floral has been gone for YEARS. Might I suggest a little vetting prior to posting the nominees and I love Autumn’s idea of ensuring that previous year’s winners are automatically included.
Thanks for that catch, Liz. For sure we don’t want to include busineses that are no longer there so we’ve asked for that to be deleted.
Mike Lynch is the best dietician and should be recognized for his training, personal skills, kindness and ease in helping his clients deal with daily challenges. He stays active and informed in latest treatment recommendations. He works hard for us, so let’s give him the recognition and praise he deserves.
when will the Best of Edmonds 2024 be available?
It will be on the streets by late June.
