Meadowdale boys lose to Glacier Peak; are second seed to district tourney

Meadowdale’s boys’ basketball team dropped a close 49-47 contest to Glacier Peak Thursday night, and as a result will be the Western Conference second seed to the 3A District 1 tournament next week. Glacier Peak earned the number-one seed with the win. Connor Hamlett led the Mavericks with 26 points, while Sam Werner added 12.

The following Edmonds-Woodway High School wrestlers will be competing at the state tournament in the Tacoma Dome this Friday and Saturday: Andrew Vulliet, 112 lbs.; Matt Cuzzetto, 119 lbs.; Mac Hutchison, 125 lbs.; Ryan Deweese, 130 lbs. and Zach Perez, 171 lbs. The tournament starts at 10 a.m. each day.
