Chamber Music that’s Completely Different!

A quartet of accomplished Northwest classical musicians will play a diverse program ranging from Celtic to Classical, to Romantic, Modern and Jazz, featuring rarely performed works by 19th century Bohemian composer Johann Kalliwoda (a contemporary of Brahms), a bravura trio suite by 20th century Austrian composer Fritz Skorzeny, Leroy Anderson’s Typewriter Concerto, and Take Five by American composer Paul Desmond. Plus a few other surprises!
Violinist Pamela Liu is known for her rousing virtuosity, she has performed extensively in Europe and Asia, and served as the concertmaster of the Cascade Symphony. William Goodwin (viola) led the viola section of the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast, Northern Ireland until 2019 and has performed across the US, Europe, Asia and South America, he is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. Anna Doak (double bass) is principal bassist of Northwest Sinfonietta and has performed with Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and the National Academy Orchestra of Canada. Don Dieterich (percussion) has been a regular at Benaroya Hall, the 5th Avenue Theater, recording studios and on film scores, he earned his Masters in Music at Penn State.
