Will you chip in to support our nonprofit newsroom with a donation today? Yes, I want to support My Edmonds News!
Be part of the global movement to end multiple sclerosis, and take part in World MS Day on Wednesday, May 25.
World MS Day unites individuals and organizations around the globe to help raise the awareness of the many Multiple Sclerosis issues facing more than 3 ½ million people. Edmonds-based MS Helping Hands – a non-profit 501 (c) (3) all-volunteer organization – invites you to take part in recognizing the many women, men and children of all ages who have this disease.
MSHH is asking you to make a generous donation, 100 percent of which will be used to provide financial assistance grants to people with MS who reside in the State of Washington. Since October 1999, MSHH has awarded over $300,000 in grants, either in cash or with the durable medical and mobility equipment items from the MSHH Donor Closet.
MSHH and the MSHH Donor Closet have no administrative expenses, only monthly operating expenses, so 92-96 percent of every dollar donated to the Donor Closet is used in the MSHH financial assistance grant program. MSHH and the Donor Closet is run 100-percent by volunteers.
